Realta Theas is a new release from our collection.  Though we found this a few years ago, we had yet to release it to anyone.  The mother tree is found along a fence line of a gravel strip between a highway and a frontage road. It grows as a bush, among other weeds and vegetation.  It produced beautiful fruit this summer, even in severe drought conditions.

Realta Theas has a thicker skin (syconium), though it does not detract from the flavor of the fruit.  The fruit is a subtle sweet, with light hints of berry.  Not particularly full of seed crunch, but has a wonderful syrupy texture.
