China Doll is a recently fruited find.  The tree itself was cut back severely, after one of the larger branches broke and fell during a wind storm this spring.  We were finally able to get ripe fruit.  The mother tree grows in a one foot wide dirt strip, between a parking lot curb and a concrete retaining wall.
 
China Doll is an interesting appearing fig.  It is a pure kelly green color, with ridging.  It has a thicker, but not chewy, skin.  Light honey-berry flavor, cant wait to see more of this fig in the future.
