This seedling was found last summer in Anderson a town at very north end of the Sacramento Valley which has a high agricultural economy. The area had few large fig orchards which were removed in the 80s.
The whole of Anderson Red can be describes as green with Red ribbed striations or completely Red with ribs when ripe which makes it a colorful addition to any fig platter.
All cuttings are 6 inches or longer, with 3 or more nodes. All cuttings will be freshly sealed with moisture control packets at time of shipping. This was a 2019 find, and for the sake of transparency, we cannot yet confirm if it is common. Cuttings have been sent out of the area for growing and confirmation.
