We are tentatively confirming common! Has fruited in North Carolina! The fruit from this tree bears a beautiful golden interior. The undertones are that of a light melon, such as an ambrosia. This fig is juicy and the texture is such that it could easily be spread as jam directly from the fruit. When cooked and warm, the jam retains a light natural fruit sweetness, and the flavor develops in to a taste and texture similar to a "no sugar added" applesauce.
